The Directors
Dr. Rhoyda Nyambane has a PhD in Mass Communication from JKUAT. She is currently a senior lecturer, Journalism and Media Studies at the School of Information and Communication Studies, School of Journalism and Media Studies at the Technical University of Kenya;
Nicola has a degree in Development Studies from the Catholic University of Africa. She currently works as an Executive Assistant of the Member of Parliament for Suba North and is in charge of
the Social Impact Programs. She has also worked for three years at The CRADLE-The Children Foundation as a Program Officer in charge of the Change Makers’s Program.
Winnie has a degree in Criminology from Masinde Muliro University and a Masters degree in Social and Public Policy from the University of Leeds, UK. She is the current Africa Regional Organizer for the 100 Million Campaign and worked formerly as the Regional Coordinator for Eastern Africa.Winnie became the first female to be elected President of a Public University in Kenya in 2016 at Masinde Muliro University. She also served for 3 years as the Vice Chair (Democracy and Participation) of the Commonwealth Students Association where she represented the organization in various high level government meetings in the Fiji Islands, UK, Rwanda and other countries.
Shandra Apondi is an Award Winning Kenyan Filmmaker. She has honed her skills through comprehensive training in screen acting, script writing and film producing.Her notable films include
“Where the River Divides,” “Mercy” and “Paaswaaad” which earned her the prestigious ACP-EU Culture Award, 2023. Shandra aspires to continue her passion for telling authentic African stories, portraying powerful characters, and honestly representing what it means to be African in today’s world.
Laetitiah a dynamic professional with a diverse background in product and project management, fluent in multiple languages including French and Mandarin Chinese. Her professional experience spans several industries and roles. Laetitiah has demonstrated strong leadership and community engagement through her role as CEO of Teach First Kenya, where she managed strategic planning and stakeholder relations. She combines her extensive experience and dedication to social and business development to drive impactful projects and foster innovation.
